Gary often asked the men he counseled one question: what is the primary thing that drives your life? It was his way of pointing them toward the deeper thing underneath their actions and beliefs.

Peter Marshall
As owner of Morning Star Café, Peter was known for his sourdough French toast, his famous pies, and a Thanksgiving table that was always open to those with nowhere else to go.
For fifteen years he taught God’s word every month at the Phoenix Rescue Mission, with a particular heart for the fatherless, the marginalized, and the forgotten. He greeted people with a bear hug and the words “Blessings to ya,” and wore a silver loaves-and-fishes cross as a quiet invitation to talk about his faith.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.

New Breed Pointman
John Hallal
John had barely arrived at a New Breed men’s camp in Christopher Creek before he was asking how he could help — a reflection of who he simply was: a servant. He embraced the team as brothers and led not through authority, but by example.
“John could take the lead, but he also wasn’t above cleaning toilets.”
A friend, on John’s character
Even through chemotherapy and significant health challenges, John held to a simple, steady faith: “God’s got me.” His love for his family, his church, and his Savior touched everyone who knew him.
Their legacy lives on in every man they invested in.
